Aim of the project - to provide high-quality and accessible youth-friendly health care services that meet the needs and to encourage young people to choose a healthier lifestyle in the territories of the municipalities envisaged in the project (Elektrėnai, Zarasai, Ignalina and Druskininkai).

Planned project activities:
  • Consultations for young people and their parents provided by the youth-friendly healthcare service (YFHCS) coordinator and psychologist;
  • Camps, trainings and consultations for young people, during which they will be taught to strengthen physical and mental health, to form a healthy lifestyle in order to reduce the morbidity of young people and to address the concerns of young people in a targeted manner;
  • Improving the qualifications and competencies of professionals working with young people.


The project envisages cooperation between social security institutions, education and law enforcement institutions. The specialists of the public health bureaus will coordinate the provision of health care - health promotion, prevention, treatment and monitoring services for young people in Elektrėnai, Druskininkai, Ignalina and Zarasai municipalities based on the principles of case management.
The project aims to improve the well-being of young people at risk by improving the health care of young people through the implementation of the YFHCS model, so that every young person receives guaranteed and efficient care in each of the municipalities implementing the model.

The target group of the project is: youth (14-29)
Project partners: Druskininkai municipality public health bureau and Ignalina district municipality public health bureau.
