The aim of the project: Creating a supportive and safe environment (to reduce known risk factors that lead to adverse birth outcomes, social exclusion, child neglect and abuse) for infants and children under 2 years of age in the Rokiškis District.
The project tasks:
To train a home visitation specialist to provide family visitation services according to the model of family visitation in early intervention services.
Acquire the necessary equipment for the provision of home visitation services.
Provide family visitation to at least 25 families from the 22nd week of pregnancy until the child reaches the age of 2 years.
What will be done while implementing the project?
The project will aim to improve pregnancy outcomes, child health and development, and family economic self-sufficiency during and after implementation. One of the planned activities is the implementation
of the home visitation early intervention model services. The implementation of the family counsellor model, in cooperation with the institutions Obeliai Social Services House, Rokiškis Social Support
Centre, Rokiškis District Municipality Public Health Office and the NGO Rokiškis Mothers' Club, will aim to improve the outcomes for first time expectant mothers from socially vulnerable groups
and their children
Target groups of the project: Pregnant women, women giving birth and mothers raising children under two years of age, children under 2 years of age and home visitation professionals.
