Free Walking Tour in Vilnius to Celebrate the Closure of the EEA Grants Programme "Health"

On October 18 at 5 PM, the Central Project Management Agency (CPVA), in partnership with the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Social Security and Labor, will host a free walking tour called "On the Paths of Žvėrynas" in Vilnius, near the White Bridge. This event invites everyone to actively spend their free time and strengthen not only their physical but also their emotional health.

Participants can choose between two walking routes: a 5,000-step or a 10,000-step route. The first route is perfect for a casual stroll and is especially suitable for families with children. The second, longer route offers more of a challenge for those who want to explore Žvėrynas in greater detail. Both routes are circular, starting and ending at the meadow by the White Bridge.

This walking tour is organized to mark the closure of the European Economic Area Financial Mechanism’s "Health" programme. At the meadow, participants can visit a tent village where they will learn about the accomplishments of the "Health" programme. The event will conclude with a concert performance at 8:30 PM.

“We are symbolically closing a four-year journey with this mass walk, where 69 projects have been carried out under the European Economic Area Financial Mechanism. These projects have focused on improving access to quality services, strengthening mental health, and prioritizing support for children, youth, and families,” says Sandra Remeikienė, Deputy Director of CPVA.
