The project is based on the principles of cultural democracy, the exchange of ideas, experiences, and competencies, promoting local communities and international dialogue, participation, and active involvement in the development of local resources and the strengthening of local cultural identity.

The aim of the project is to get to know, reveal and strengthen the cultural identity of Kupiškis district by promoting the coherence and creativity of the local community and improving the dissemination of professional cultural and creative products and services, their equal accessibility and international cooperation in the field of culture.

It is planned:
To develop equal accessibility of cultural products and services by involving different social groups of Kupiškis district (young people aged 14-29 and persons over 60 years of age) in organized events and other cultural activities;
To establish a Youth Creativity Laboratory, enabling young people to participate in non-formal cultural education activities with cultural professionals;
To prepare local community culture producers;
To present the project activities and results in the magazine “KupoDanga” in Lithuanian and English. The magazine will be placed on the project website and be available in Kupiškis district municipality Public Library and its subdivisions, in the places of activity of other partners.

Project benefit: The Youth Creativity Laboratory established during the project will host creative workshops with creative writing, photography, publication layout and design, DJing, cinema, contemporary dance with professionals in the field, including the international theater troupe Artepunkt Scandinavia from Norway. During the workshops, participants will improve their skills and knowledge in individual and collective activities. After the end of the project, Kupiškis Youth Center will continue to carry out the activities of the Youth Creative Laboratory, provide creativity and cultural education services. The acquired knowledge, experience and computer equipment will ensure the continuity of creative workshops and non-formal cultural education activities even after the end of the project. Cross-sectoral cooperation in the project will help to decentralize the concentration of art, create a network and new connections that can grow into ongoing collaboration projects and activities in the future.The dissemination of the project results and the relevance of the topic of the program area will be ensured by the final project conference, designed to present the project results, creative workshops, discuss the activities of local cultural producers-promoters and its development in Kupiškis district. opportunities in the municipality, involving other stakeholders, such as: Kupiškis Art School, Kupiškis Culture Center, Employment Service. It is expected that in the future these experiences will be applied in other Lithuanian municipalities as well.

Target groups of the project: Young people (14-29 years old) and older people (60+) living in Kupiškis district municipality, members of the local community.
