The call under the EEA financial mechanism programme “Promotion of Diversity in Culture and Arts within European Cultural Heritage” was closed on September 5th.
Project applications have been submitted under two funding measures: international creative co-production (Measure I) and international cultural cooperation (Measure II). 86 % of all applications have been submitted under the Funding measure I. The demand for funding (3 615 726,86 EUR) significantly exceeds the budget of the Programme (1 020 471 EUR).
Submitted project applications cover various areas of culture and arts, however the highest number of applications are within the fields of culture and art education, dissemination of cultural heritage and music. In seven project applications digitization of culture and cultural heritage is foreseen.
All project applications had to be submitted in partnership with cultural institutions from the Donor states (Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway). Most of the project applications have been prepared in cooperation with institutions from Norway, seven have partners in Iceland, while two have been prepared in cooperation with institutions from both countries.
Currently, project applications are undergoing the administrative compliance and eligibility for funding evaluation stage which is executed by the Central Project Management Agency. Afterwards, experts from Lithuania and Norway will perform the project benefit and quality assessment.
The evaluation results are planned to be published in December/ January.
